Penang Photos Part 3: Shrines, Shophouses & Mosques

I spent much of the late afternoon and early evening walking through the center part of old George Town, an area filled with the temples of various religions. I spent considerable time walking on the grounds of a large mosque and then explored the nearby lanes which contained numerous heritage buildings and a few Chinese shrines. I came across the Armenian enclave and accidentally came across the local World Heritage headquarters as well as the home at which Sun Yet Sen was based while in Penang. I was surprised at how deserted the streets were but discovered quite a few people in a park in the middle of an Islamic sector. Hungry again, I began making my way back towards Chulia Street in search of street food…
