It’s been blazing hot here for at least a couple of weeks; while there were a few times it looked like it was going to rain, it didn’t. The killer typhoon that at one point was headed straight for Phuket veered to the north (where it’s flooded 21 provinces and killed a number of people in the Isaan region). So, I was very happy a few minutes ago when the skies opened up and it started pouring. The breeze coming off the storm felt so good and I came close to just standing in the rain when closing the door to my balcony. Of course, in the five minutes or so it’s taken me to upload a photo and write this post, the rain has now stopped and I can see a bit of blue sky breaking through above Kao Rang. I’m sure it will now be hot and muggy for my classes today…
