The first in the most recent batch of Postcrossing cards that I sent has arrived in Germany following a 16-day journey that covered 9,449 kilometers (5.858 miles). I’d sent Werner a card picturing a view of the expanse of Phuket Town, plus the sea in the distance, as seen from the summit of Khao Rang.  This is a good-sized hill just a short distance north and west of my apartment.

I plan to request a few more addresses tomorrow so I can send cards in honor of International Letter Writing Week and World Post Day (9 October).  I will send cards to  various friends and family members throughout the week as well,  If you’d like to receive a postcard from Thailand, just email me with your address and I’ll send one out.
