With just two days to go before the holiday, I have just received my first Christmas card for 2014.  Appropriately enough, it was sent from the administrators of the only online stamp collectors’ forum that I am a member of, Stamp Bears.  The envelope was franked with one of the new Silver Bells Wreath Global Forever stamps released a couple of months ago, postmarked with a “Happy Holidays” Hartford, Connecticut, spray-jet cancellation picturing Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.  I just love receiving holiday mail – such a rare occurrence in Thailand! 

By the way, I only managed to send out five cards of my own so far – I haven’t had an abundance of free time lately.  I think several people on my list will be getting New Year’s cards from me this year – well, perhaps Chinese New Year (Year of the Goat!!) cards.  Uh, maybe even Songkran (Thai New Year) cards in mid-April…
