
A quick and early posting as I need to report for Gate Duty in a few minutes. In yesterday’s “Daily Phuket”, I posted a photo of an unusual number of monks on the morning alms walk in the Old Town area. This morning, I saw a much larger procession of monks receiving alms outside of the little shopping center behind my home. It was quite organized with police escort, large bus to carry the monks back to their home-temple, and a few videographers in tow. They were receiving their food and other goodies from tables set up outside of the entrance to Limelight Avenue, a sort of local mini-mall.
